Halo, Kaplanners! Pada tanggal 22 April 2024, kami berkumpul di Ayana Midplaza Jakarta untuk menghadiri event Access MBA yang dimulai pukul lima sore. Acara ini tidak sekadar merupakan pameran pendidikan luar negeri biasa; Access MBA menghadirkan banyak sekolah bisnis terkemuka dari seluruh dunia dan mengimplementasikan pertemuan one-on-one dan diskusi kelompok kecil. Ini memungkinkan kamu untuk berinteraksi secara langsung dan pribadi dengan para perwakilan dari universitas yang hadir di acara.

Apa itu Access MBA?

Access MBA adalah acara di mana para profesional atau mahasiswa bisa bertemu langsung dengan representatif dari sekolah bisnis terkenal di seluruh dunia. Di sini, kamu bisa berbicara langsung dengan mereka untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut tentang program MBA yang ditawarkan. Access MBA menekankan konsep pertemuan one-on-one, di mana kamu akan mendapat kesempatan untuk berinteraksi secara pribadi dengan para perwakilan sekolah bisnis tersebut. Access MBA telah menyelenggarakan sekitar 70 acara One-to-One setiap tahun di lebih dari 60 negara di Eropa, Timur Tengah, Amerika Latin, Amerika Utara, Asia, dan Afrika (www.accessmba.com, 2024).

Konsep pameran pendidikan inovatif ini dipelopori oleh Advent Group pada tahun 2004 dan telah menjadi standar baru untuk acara di industri pendidikan. Advent Group adalah nama perusahaan yang telah menjadi pemimpin dalam menyelenggarakan acara pendidikan tinggi di seluruh dunia selama hampir 20 tahun. Alasan Kenapa Hadir di Access MBA

Banyak yang bertanya-tanya, “mengapa kami harus hadir di Access MBA?”. Berikut adalah beberapa alasan kenapa kamu harus selalu hadir pada event Access MBA:

Wawancara Eksklusif dengan Perwakilan Sekolah Bisnis yang Hadir di Event

Kami dari tim online marketing ditugaskan untuk mewawancarai beberapa perwakilan sekolah bisnis yang hadir pada acara Access MBA pada tanggal 22 April 2024 kemarin. Namun, karena acaranya pada malam hari, beberapa representatif menolak untuk di wawancara karena kelelahan. Tetapi kami bersyukur setidaknya mendapatkan 3 sekolah bisnis yang mau diwawancara, yaitu Singapore Management University, Asia School of Business, dan Cranfield School of Management.

Pertanyaan kami sangat sederhana dan pastinya dibutuhkan oleh individu yang ingin ambil MBA di luar negeri. Beberapa pertanyaannya adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Why we should choose your university for our MBA studies?
2. Could you outline the admission requirements for your MBA program?

Terutama penting untuk memahami alasan mengapa harus memilih universitas mereka untuk studi MBA. Ini krusial karena kita perlu memastikan apakah kuliah MBA di sana layak atau tidak. Nah, berikut adalah jawaban dari mereka:

Asia School of Business (ASB)

Kenapa memilih ASB untuk studi MBA?

1. Lokasinya yang strategis di Kuala Lumpur, dekat dengan Jakarta.
2. ASB memiliki kolaborasi dengan MIT Sloan School of Management, yang berarti kurikulum dan fakultasnya berasal dari MIT.
3. Pengalaman belajar yang tidak hanya terbatas di dalam kelas tetapi juga melibatkan praktik bisnis, proyek pembelajaran, serta kesempatan untuk belajar langsung di kampus MIT di Boston.

Persyaratan Kuliah MBA di ASB?

1. IPK minimum 2.5,
2. IELTS 6.0, dan minimal 2 tahun pengalaman kerja.
3. GMAT atau GRE tidak diwajibkan, namun memiliki salah satunya dapat lebih menguntungkan ketika proses aplikasi ke ASB.

1. Why we should choose your university for our MBA studies?

   • ASB is located in Kuala Lumpur, which is not far away from Jakarta. But once you enroll as a student with ASB, even though you are enrolled in one of the Malaysian institutions or university, but it is your gateway to the world. So throughout the whole entire MBA for 12 months, you will not just be in Kuala Lumpur. You will be in ASEAN countries, you will be in Asia, and most importantly, towards the end of the program, you will go to Boston in MIT to attend classes in MIT campus directly.
   • Asia School of Business (ASB) is in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management. That means that all our curriculum, all our faculty members are coming from the MIT Sloan School of Management, so rest assured the quality is there.
   • And also, it’s just not the classroom experience, it’s outside the classroom experience. So we are talking about a bit of business practicum, the actual learning projects, and also the whole experience throughout the whole entire program with your classmates, with the whole entire campus experience, off-campus experience, and also the three weeks English program in MIT.

2. Could you outline the admission requirements for your MBA program?

   • The general admission requirement, of course minimum GPA of 2.5, IELTS 6.0, minimum 2 years of working experience. So that is actually for you to be eligible to apply for the program, but once we have received your application of course we will do the internal processing accordingly.
   • For now, we don’t require GMAT and GRE, but if you have, it will be good, but if you don’t have it’s not a problem at all.

Singapore Management University (SMU)

1. SMU adalah pilihan yang bagus karena universitas ini berfokus hanya pada program bisnis dan manajemen, sehingga memberikan keunggulan yang spesifik dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan di bidang tersebut.
2. Memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan industri, dan memiliki tim layanan karier yang kuat untuk mendukung pengembangan profesional dan motivasi karier para mahasiswanya setelah lulus.

Persyaratan Kuliah MBA di SMU?

1. 2 tahun pengalaman kerja,
2. Memiliki setidaknya gelar sarjana,
3. GMAT / GRE (salah satu),
4. TOEFL / IELTS.

1. Why we should choose your university for our MBA studies?

   • SMU is actually a specialist university, so we focus mainly on business and management programs.
   • We do have very strong ties to the industry. At SMU, we’ve also got a very strong career services team who will support our students in their professional development as well as, you know (for example), their career motivation after they have graduated from the program.

2. Could you outline the admission requirements for your MBA program?

   • So here at SMU, we conduct a holistic assessment of applicants. This includes evaluating both their work and academic achievements. We seek students with a minimum of two years of professional experience and an undergraduate degree in any field. Additionally, candidates should possess at least two years of postgraduate work experience. We highly value diversity within our cohort, so applicants who bring unique perspectives or experiences are particularly welcomed.
   • There will be an aptitude test as well. So either the GMAT, the GRE, or if not, you can also consider taking the SMU admission test. Apart from these requirements, we are looking for students who are motivated, positive, willing to learn, and is willing to contribute back to the program.

Cranfield School of Management (SoM)

Kenapa memilih Cranfield untuk studi MBA?

1. Program MBA satu tahun yang kuat dengan sembilan bulan di kampus dan satu bulan di luar negeri di Eropa dengan ESCP Business School.
2. Pilihan jalur yang beragam: eksekutif, independen, dan kewirausahaan, yang mencakup magang, proyek konsultasi, dan rencana bisnis.
3. Lokasi strategis di dekat London, Cambridge, dan Oxford, di kawasan yang disebut “Silicon Valley” Inggris, dengan banyak peluang kerja dan kemitraan industri.

3. Keputusan akan diberikan dalam waktu lima hari kerja setelah wawancara, dengan penawaran bersyarat atau tanpa syarat.

1. Why we should choose your university for our MBA studies?

   • Well, first of all, we have a very strong program. It’s a one -year program. You’re going to spend nine months on campus having core and elective modules, and then you’re going to spend one month abroad in Europe, in either Italy or Spain. It’s this one-month international experience with ESCP Business School. So this is, as we say, an exclusive opportunity to study at both business schools that are very highly recognized in the world.
   • And after the international experience, you come back to the UK and we introduced recently three pathways. So if you choose an executive pathway, you’re going to have an internship, which will be embodied into your MBA program, still all together, 12 months.
     • Independent: If you choose an independent pathway, you will be doing a consultancy project. This is for those who would see themselves as consultants in the future. So they would be consulting an NGO or a company based in the UK.
     • Entrepreneurial: And for those who already have their own business or would like to start a business, they can choose entrepreneurial pathway. And they would spend the last two or three months working on their business plan and how they want to expand their business.
     • Internship: But to be honest, in most cases, our students choose to do an internship. But for those who would like to choose a different pathway, they are more than welcome.
   • And we are also located 40 minutes away from London. I always say we are located in a triangle where Cambridge, Oxford and London are. And we are in the middle. We call this area the Silicon Valley of the United Kingdom. Yeah, because all the financial services, all the technology companies are based in either London. But many of them are relocating currently to Milton Keynes, who is just 20 minutes away from our campus.  So like Amazon and other offices are around. So outside the biggest amount of job opportunities in the United Kingdom would be around you.
   • Our full -time MBA program is one of the oldest in Europe. We are also ranked to wealth in Europe by Bloomberg. We are also top five in Europe by Financial Times. We take rankings now more seriously, and we have the ambitions to be back to top 50 in the world by Financial Times in three years. We have an amazing, incredible alumni community. But I think one of the strongest points about us, I would say, is the number of the cohort. So most of the business schools would have 150 people in the class for the full -time MBA. In our case, it’s 50, maximum 60 people, because we believe in personalizing MBA to the needs of our students. So that’s why I always say that faculty will know your name. Because the cohort is small, so we are able to support you on this MBA journey, and you’ll be able to shape your experience so you can actually meet your goals. Because in the end, your success is our success, so we will do our best to kind of support you on this journey.

2. Could you outline the admission requirements for your MBA program?

   • So basically, in order to apply, you just need to fill out the application on our website. Within five working days, Admissions Team will reach out and offer a time slot for an interview. And within five working days after the interview, you’ll have a decision. It’s going to be if you performed great on the interview and you’re successful, you will be offered either a conditional or unconditional offer. So for example, if you haven’t submitted a GMAT let’s say, and you still can receive a conditional offer meaning we would be happy to have you in our class but you have one month to submit your GMAT results or IELTS results
   • In terms of IELTS the requirements are 7 overall and 5 .5 in all skill components for TOEFL it’s 100 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading 17 listening 20 speaking and 17 writing we also you can also submit Cambridge Assessment English, Dalingo, Kaplan and other other tests.
   • In terms of GMAT, we welcome candidates with scores over 600 or 555 under the focus edition. But you can also submit GRE or you can also do Cranfield Admission test which is quite similar to GMAT. It’s online and it costs $100 so you can submit that it’s one of the options.
